Precious words :)

Walking with Nathan today, this is the conversation you would have overheard:

Nathan: Mommy, who made the water? (we talk alot these days about who made things and who provides for us)

Mommy: I don't know Nathan, who made the water?

Nathan: God did!

Mommy: You're so right Nathan!

Nathan: I talked to God at the park at school. (a.k.a. the playground)

Mommy: Really?

Nathan: Yep. Because God's always with me. (which we've been working hard on understanding so that he's not scared at night... because God is always with him! So glad to know it sank in!)

Mommy: Did God talk to you?

Nathan: Uh-huh!

Mommy: What did he say to you?

Nathan: He said, "You're great!"

Mommy: God's right Nathan... You are great! :)

My goodness how I love this little boy!

  2. that is precious! ok, when you mentioned being scared at night, i wanted to share something that my mom reminded me of from when i was little. around the time Corban was born, we sort of switched cailyn's bedtime routine b/c we had allowed her to control how long we stayed with her (i.e.-until she fell asleep...WAY too long). anyway, one of the first nights we switched over, it was made very apparent to us that she was deathly afraid of the dark. so, after talking with my parents on skype out of desperation in what to do (all during her meltdown!) they reminded me of a song off of a memory verse CD we had. it happens i also bought that CD for cailyn when she was born in anticipation of working on memorizing Bible verses with songs. SO...if you are unaware, there is a CD called "Hide 'Em In Your Heart" by Steve Green (there are several volumes and many CDs), but the one we have is volume 1. There is a song on it from Psalm 56:3-4, and he titles it "When I Am Afriad". So, all of this to say, we sing that each night now before going to bed, and she loves it. You can find it on iTunes or have someone send you the CD...if you don't have it, I would totally recommend it. Sorry for the LOOONG comment!
