Calling all Moms...
Hey all my state side mommy friends... I have a quick question. There is a group of interns coming down this summer and we're working on ordering a few things for them to bring down with them. I am working on ordering some chewable vitamins for Nathan, but was wondering which your pediatricians back home recommend as the best to give. I was looking at some websites and the Flinstones chewables seem to be the bestsellers, but I was wondering if I could get some feedback before I go ordering a boatload of vitamins that may not be the best :) Thanks for the input!

Greggory never took vitamins, he was a great eater and Anna hasn't had any either. However, when I was pregnant with her I had horrible morning sickness and I couldn't keep my prenatal vitamins down my ob recommended flinstones. So that is my vote if it worked for me why not a little boy?

Hey Laura. All three Holley children have grown up on the HEB vitamins with Extra C. They are basically the same as Flintstones but about $2 cheaper. They also LOVE them so they WANT to take them every night. I will email you soon regarding your email to David about the care package:) It was either the Boomer and Tweener class. I will let you know as soon as I figure it out! You and your family are in our daily thoughts and prayers! We love you!
ReplyDeleteThe yummy Flinestone chewables that taste like sour patch kids are amazing. My ob/gyn says they are so good that you can substitute them for prenatal vitamins.
ReplyDeleteHey Laura,
ReplyDeleteI don't know how the doctors feel about them, but my kids take the Onesource children's multivitamin. I chose it because it's a gummy and they think it's candy. Another good thing about it -- no iron. We actually had a situation last night where Rachel ate about half the bottle and poison control didn't care because there was no iron. Please don't ask how it happened, it is too incredible . . .
Camille takes the Wild Oats Bengal Bites. It has 5mg of iron, in one serving, but I usually halved it. $5 for 60 bites.
ReplyDeleteI haven't placed the kids on vitamins yet- they eat so well it hadn't even crossed my mind. But everyone I know uses the Flintstones or the generic of them. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteOur kids use Juice Plus Gummies and they are great. We can notice an obvious difference in the strength of their immune system when they are taking them. Randy and I take the Juice plus for adults. Can't say enough good about them!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!

Our girls take the "Princess Vitamins"...basically just like the flinstones, but Disney princess shapes and "girl" colors...They took flinstones a few years ago, but when Princess vitamins came out, they became the vitamin of choice!
ReplyDeleteThey do make a difference, I think! Let us know if there is anything that ya'll need and we will zoom it (okay mail it) to ya'll!!
Blessings for a fun weekend!!
Hello Laura,
ReplyDeleteRuthie takes the walmart brand right now but soon will start the juice plus. Chelsea took the juice plus and I definately saw a difference in her. The key with the gummies is the taste, some like and some don't. They come in plastic jars and one is fruit and the other is veggies. I started Ruthie on Juice Plus when she was a little younger but it seemed to make her diapers loose, now that she's older I think she will be fine. I will give her some for the next few days and let you know what happens.
Our pediatrician said that I didn't have to give Ainsley a vitamin, but that if I did, 1/2 of a Flintstones would be good, so that is what we do.
