Freak accident
I know it probably won't happen again for months and months, but what a treat it was last night when Grant went down at 7 and didn't wake up to eat until 4 o'clock this morning! For all you nursing mommies out there you know what an amazing miracle that is, and how grateful I was for the hours of consecutive sleep :) !!!

Don't ask me how it happened (because the 3 kids after her never learned the trick) - but when Raimy was about a month old she started sleeping through the night (we are talking 8 PM to 6 AM here) for the rest of her infancy. She still loves her sleep and thrives on a routine. It is amazing how even as infants they display unique personality traits. We can hope that Grant will repeat this miracle. In the meantime - congratulations for your snoozy night. :-) I know how wonderful it can feel when you are a nursing mommy!
ReplyDeleteLove you Laura!
YEAH!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmm...sounds heavenly! Being a few weeks out from delivery, I am already craving a nights sleep where I don't have to wake up a zillion times a night (for the obvious reason), such a sad thing to consider it only gets worse once they are here! I hope Grant continues to appreciate and reward you for being such an incredible Mommy!! Molly
ReplyDeleteAWSOME! Good for both of you!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't come out of the "newborn fog" until Tate started sleeping through the night . . . and what a blessed first night that was! Yeah Grant!
ReplyDeleteYeah Grant! What a good boy!! I remember Parker doing that and I woke up and thought, "did I not hear him" but Aaron told me that maybe he does want to sleep a little more, too!! Good for Grant...a sweet baby boy!
ReplyDeleteYay! So glad you got that much needed rest! I hope there are many more soon:)
ReplyDeleteYea for Grant! I must say, I'm jealous. Will still gets up once a night (he's 7 months today) and Thomas occasionally wakes up begging for "mommy" or "daddy" or "shoes, on". Why he wants his shoes on at 2 in the morning is a mystery to me!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your much needed sleep!
